San Francisco, CA - April 26, 2019 – Serent Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm focused on investing in fast-growing software and services businesses, announced today that its portfolio company Aftermath, the leading national provider of biohazard management, crime scene and trauma cleanup services, has been acquired by Abry Partners, a Boston-based private equity firm.
Founded in 1996 and based in Aurora, Illinois, Aftermath provides professional and compassionate biohazard and crime scene cleanup services to families, employers, and communities after traumatic events. The company also provides awareness training to law enforcement agencies, first responders, medical examiners, and other professionals to educate them on the hazards of bloodborne pathogens and appropriate safety procedures.
